Power comes from our hydraulically driven planetary motor, delivering up to 3,800 ft/Lbs of torque to the splitting head and that’s where things get really twisted. The bit’s bite comes from machining two helical spirals into a solid piece of steel. The two spirals join at the tip for easy boring into the log. Driven on a 2" hex shaft with an integrated shield that protects the drive from the rigors of splitting wood Splinter is ready to take on pieces of wood and logs up to 8 ft long. Splinter is designed to be mounted to excavators or skidsteers.
